Day 1 excursion starts with a journey over the Kirkstone Pass, at 1,489 feet the Lake District’s highest drivable pass. We then take a leisurely cruise on Ullswater, travelling the full length of the lake over a 60 minutes journey on a heritage steam boat. After a lunchtime stop in nearby Penrith, we will then visit Dalemain Mansion & Historic Gardens, one of the most beautiful and impressive stately houses in the North West of England, with a beautiful Georgian facade of dressed pink stone and standing in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland .
You will have a day at leisure to enjoy the hotel grounds and facilities, or you could use the local buses and trains to explorer further afield.

We will travel the full length of the lake with uninterrupted views of the Lakeland fells before we travel on to Keswick for a chance for some lunch and some time at leisure to explore this pretty market town which offers a wide range of attractions for visitors.
