Blackpool Illuminations

with Turkey & Tinsel

30th October - 2nd November 2020

Blackpool Illuminations date back to 1879, attracting millions of visitors to this seaside city of fun, which still buzzes with excitement long after other resorts have gone into winter hibernation. At 10 kilometres long and using over 1,000,000 bulbs, the Illuminations are an awesome spectacle consisting of almost every kind of light display imaginable: lasers, LED, neon, light bulbs, fibre optics, searchlights and floodlighting. The holiday includes an evening tour of the Illuminations.

With a glass of sherry and dinner, followed by an evening of entertainment, you will quickly get into the Christmas spirit.

Saturday (alias Christmas Day) includes a full Christmas lunch and an afternoon with tea, cakes and entertainment which follows into the evening as you enjoy a day at leisure in Blackpool. The more adventurous of you may choose to climb the iconic tower, just stroll along the fully refurbished promenade or perhaps take a ride on one of the historic trams which run the full length of the seafront and beyond.

Sunday (alias New Year’s Day) After breakfast we will travel to nearby Barton. From the base at the award winning Barton Grange Garden Centre, we will board a canal boat for a nostalgic journey out into the North Lancashire countryside featur-ing attractive scenery and views of the Bowland Hills, not to mention the wildlife that abounds. Tea/coffee is included, and there is a fully licensed bar on board.
