Early New Year

Cheer in Newquay

15th - 19th February 2021

In 2021 we start our tour program with a House Party, this time in Newquay.

Our first day out starts with a visit to Padstow, on the Camel Estuary, noted both as a sailing centre and Cornwall’s capital of seafood cuisine, made famous by ce-lebrity chef Rick Stein. We then travel to Bodmin, one of Cornwall’s oldest towns, where the Cornish Rebellion started. Its imposing granite buildings reflect the town’s importance during the tin mining boom in the 19th century.

Finally we travel back to the coast with a visit to the small vibrant fishing village of Port Isaac, one of Cornwall's most well known holiday destinations. It was used as the filming lo-cation for ITV’s Doc Martin and is home to the Fisherman’s Friends choir.

You will also have a free day in Newquay, Cornwall's premier holiday resort boasting eleven magnificent sandy beaches. Although well known as Britain's surf-ing capital, the town offers wonderful cliff and beach walks and a picturesque har-bour to explore.

Our second day out will start with a visit to Truro with a chance to visit the Pannier Market, with over 40 independent stalls or the stunning Gothic Revival Cathedral in the heart of Cornwall's only City. We then pay a visit to unique Eden Project, with a chance to explore the Rainforest Biome and trek through the steamy rainforests of Malaysia, West Africa and South America in the world’s largest con-servatory or the Mediterranean Biome where you can take a colourful, sensory jour-ney through the Mediterranean-type climates of the world, including South Africa and California.
