The Best Of Liverpool

Beatles, Boats & Soap

19th - 23rd April 2020

The City of Liverpool is much more than just home of The Beatles and has over 2500 historic buildings and thousands of shops, so there is bound to be something for everyone in one of the North West’s most vibrant cities.

On our first day’s excursion we are joined on the coach by probably one of the best local guides who takes us on a tour on some of the most important and well known Beatles related sites in and around the city, whilst giving us a knowledgea-ble and informative commentary on the way. We then travel to nearby Port Sun-light, where we will visit the museum before we are again joined on the coach for a tour of this model village, established by Lord Leverhulme and the location of the first ever performance by the most recognised line up of the Beatles.

On your free day in Liverpool, you will have an Explorer ticket for both the icon-ic “Ferry Cross the Mersey” and the City Explorer bus which both have stops near the hotel, allowing you to fully explore the city at your leisure.

Our second day out starts with a visit to Chester, with its medieval timber build-ings and unique 700 year-old two-tiered Rows. You will have time at leisure and for lunch before we travel on to Ness Botanic Gardens. Set over 64 acres, the gardens feature a diverse variety of plants and planting areas. Constantly changing, there are always new things to see, including vibrant year-round colour and an outstanding collection of Rhododendrons, Camellias, Snowdrops and Sorbus, amongst others.
